Warm the Window

Fixing a Ripped Window Tint

Dampen the Window

Replace the Damaged Film

If your car window tint is severely damaged, torn, or peeling, or if there are large bubbles forming, you probably might have to replace the window tint sheets completely. You can start by drawing a square around the damaged area, then you can use a razor blade so you will be able to slice the film around the marking. You must use one corner to lift up the film.

After that, spray water mist on the cut area edges and use your razor again so you can slide it underneath. You can gently run the razor blade under the film, and do this little by little, until you have fully removed the square around the damaged area.
